Celebrating My Birthday: Giveaway!

Yesterday I had a fantastic day celebrating my 36th birthday. Spent the day helping in my daughter's first grade class, went to Zumba at the gym, lunch with friends & some family at Essence Bakery and dinner with family at Joe's Farm Grill.

One of my most crafty friends wrapped my gift with a brown paper bag that she had cut into strips. Isn't it so cute and clever? Plus I love the rolled paper candles on the card. Thought you'd enjoy seeing her creative wrapping!


My super talented baking sister, Michelle, created my requested cookie tower in lieu of cake.


The chocolate chip cookies were some of the very best that I've ever had. The recipe came from this Baked cookbook. The cookie stand was found a few years ago at Melrose Vintage in Phoenix. (Love that place!)

    Happy birthday! It sounds like you had a lovely day. Those cookies look magnificent.

    All growing up (and some years now that I suppose I have to consider myself "grown up"), we went to Myrtle Beach, SC each year. It was always such a blast. But really, I just love going anywhere (near or far) with Husband!

    Happy Birthday!!! I hope you have a great one. Out favorite place to go for a vacation was Panama, we have a friend who moved there and started a bed and breakfast, we stayed there with our friends and had an amazing time. Happy Birthday.

    Happy, happy birthday Lisa.
    My favorite travel place is Wangerooge. This is a German Island and it´s so lovely. This island is car free and you have to do all with you bicycle.
    It´s such a great silence and the kids are so free....

    Happy Birthday to you! Love this month's kit. Your pages are awesome. One of my favorite places to visit is San Diego, CA. The weather is almost always perfect, and I love visiting the ocean.
