Craftsy Class Giveaway!

A few weeks ago I flew to Denver to work with Craftsy videoing an online crafting education class. The class is all about creative titles and journaling techniques that can make story telling on your layouts more meaningful.

It was a seriously exciting week and I'm excited that the class will be ready to roll later this month.

To celebrate the upcoming class launch, I'm giving away a class to one lucky winner. Just go here to enter.

I spent weeks prepping for the class creating may new layouts that featured techniques and ideas that I was excited to share and teach in the class. Once I was there, it was so much fun having hair and makeup done, getting to have my own dressing room (there was even a star on the door!) The best part was finally getting to share my ideas and layouts on screen.

Of course, I'll share here once the class goes live, but for now please be sure to enter the giveaway for free enrollment in the class.

Glitz Blog Hop >>> Paper Pads

Hello and welcome to the May Glitz blog hop! Today we are sharing layouts featuring the awesome Glitz 6 X 6 and 8 X 8 paper pads.

I love these small papers and use them on almost all of my pages. Today I want to share a layout where the entire background of the layout is created by layering 6 X 6 papers and then topped with an 8 X 8 paper.

Putting four of the smaller papers together is the perfect way to create a custom background. This is an especially useful tip when you don't have a full 12 X 12 paper to use.

Be sure to stop by all of these blogs for a lot of Glitz inspiration:

Celebrating 4th of July + A Giveaway

Celebrating the 4th of July together is one of our favorite family traditions. Most years we brave the 100+ degree heat and go to a community parade in my parents neighborhood. I was just going through some older pictures and came across some photos from the 4th of July parade from 2005. It's hard to believe how quickly our kids are growing up.

I did a double 8.5 X 11 page for this layouts. It's been a while since I've done this size, but it just seemed to fit the photos.

Everything on this page is from the Scrapbook Circle Let Freedom Ring kit except for the white cardstock used as a base.

I'm really loving the Let Freedom Ring Kit this month. I made today's layout plus a banner and other layout you can see here. There are some really great patterns that would work great for non-patriotic projects too. I just happened to have done all patriotic projects so far because I have photos that I want to use.

Today I want to giveaway a Let Freedom Ring kit to one of you! Just leave a comment letting me know one of your favorite things about summer and you will be entered to win.

Comments will end on Sunday, June 10 at midnight PST and I'll announce a winner on Monday.

I'd you'd rather just pick up your own Let Freedom Ring kit now, use code freedom20 at checkout to get 20% off of the kit now through Monday, June 11.
