You are Special to Me Card

Yesterday my son brought home a letter from the principal saying that his teaching is resigning for personal reasons and that her last day of school is today. Wow, that was a shock. My son was SO sad. I've never seen him so upset. We talked through things and he seemed to be happier this morning. I'm anxious to hear about how his school day went today.

We decided that he should write his teacher a thank you card. Not only did we think it would be nice for Max to write a note to his teacher, I thought it might help bring a little closure to the situation.

So this morning before school, I quickly put a card together for Max's teacher.

The teacher change may work out being for the best, but sometimes change isn't very fun.

P.S. The card is a peek at the Scrapbook Circle December kit!

More Silk Flowers

Okay, I will try and take a break from using the silk flower clips. Hopefully you aren't too tired of them yet!

I love the texture and dimention the flowers add to cards. Here's a card where I used a flocked My Mind's Eye polka dot paper for the background. Loving the flocked and silk textures here.Pretty simple card where I could use up a few scraps.
Hope you have a fabulous Monday!

Supplies: May Scrapbook Circle kit, silk foe flower and clip from Hobby Lobby. Digital photo frames from House of 3.

Card + Flower Clip

Since I made so many of these flowers, I decided that I needed to find a way to use them other than accessories for my girls.

Here, the clip is used as an embellishment on a card.
It's a nice way to give a little gift along with the card.
I just clipped the flower right onto the card so that is can be easily removed and reused.

Ready for the Weekend

Are you ready for the weekend? I am! We had a great start tonight by doing a family movie night and watching "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs." It was such a fun and clever movie. Perfect for the kids and adults!

Tomorrow we have 2 soccer games, 2 soccer parties and 2 birthday parties. Good times.

I've had a little more playtime with the new Jillibean Soup paper that came this week. (The paper is for an upcoming SC kit!)

Here's a look at one of the cards I made. Loving the Jillibean birdhouse paper. So fun. And of course those corrugated alphas are great. They do come in green, but I only have the kraft colored letters. So I got my paint out and painted the letters green. I love getting my hands messy. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great weekend!
