Dacember Daily - Days 6, 7 and 8

Still working along on my December Daily album. I need to catch up on the past couple of days, but here's a look at a few pages from earlier this week.

Pocket Chick Pick @ Fancy Pants

Today I got to post my first Pocket Chick Pick over on the Fancy Pants blog.

What is a Pocket Chick Pick? I got to look through the Fancy Pants Facebook Gallery and choose a layout that inspired me to create a layout.

Here's a peek at my layout about some beyond delicious frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity 3 in NYC.


Used the new Fancy Pants Love Birds line for this layout. Those bright colors make me happy!

Still Working on December Daily

The past few days have been busy, but I've still been able to squeeze in time to work on my December Daily album. Before going to bed each night, I design the photo page from the photos taken that day in photoshop. The next day, I print out the photo page, add journaling and a few embellishments to each page.

I've trying to keep this album simple so that I still have time to enjoy the month and don't find myself spending hours tinkering on the album.

Here's a look at the few of my recent pages.



On day 3, I have 2 pages from Fancy Pants Traditions line that it glued back to back. This gave me to pages for journaling.



My favorite thing about this project is that I'm really focused on what we are doing and I am taking many more photos that I would otherwise take. Can't wait to see the finished album!

Desserts and Snow

This recipe for Mexican Hot Chocolate Cupcakes from Cheeky Kitchen looks amazing. These cinnamon chocolate cupcakes have a caramel center. I must make these soon!


Speaking of desserts, we visited Mike's Pastry while we in in Boston a couple of months ago for some decedent Italian pastries. I used the Fancy Pants Love Birds line for a layout documenting the pastry shop visit.



I've organized my photos for my December Daily for today. Tomorrow is the day I plan to print and put all of the photos into my album. We had a great day with church in the morning and a neighborhood Christmas party in the afternoon.

It was almost 80 degrees today and the neighborhood brought in snow for the kids to play in.

December Daily Photo Pages

Things have been cray busy here the past couple of days, but I have managed to still put together the photos pages each day for my December Daily album. I haven't had a chance to print and add them to my album yet, but I hope to do that tomorrow.


Thursday night two of my kids sang in a Christmas Concert with the Chandler Children's Choir. It's always a great evening when I can listen to them sing.


Friday we had friends over to play after school and later other friends came over for dinner. I added a photo of the gingerbread houses we decorated on Sunday that are now sitting in our kitchen.

Today was the busiest day of all. We had a church Christmas party (that my committee was in charge of) plus my kids we in the Chandler Light Parade tonight with the Chandler Children's Choir. Lots of good times and great memories.

Hopefully tomorrow I will get this pages printed and put into the December Daily book.

December Daily - Day 1

Yesterday was day one of taking photos for my December Daily album. I am really excited about this project because it will motivate me to take more pictures plus it will help me focus on all of the memorable things we are doing each day this month.

I must say that I love the flocked transparency from Fancy Pants on the cover. It gives a nice texture to the project.


Now for page one. Here's a look at the foundation pages before I added photos and a few embellishments.


Thanks to the Ali Edwards Templates, the photo page came together really quickly. I added some transparent Fancy Pants ornaments plus a Crate Paper chipboard embellishment to the page.


Originally I had planned on the journaling on the page where I ended up putting the ornaments. Once the ornaments were added, I decided to make the photos a flap page and put the journaling behind the photos. I added a tab sticker so the photo page could easily be lifted.


I journaled on strips of paper and placed them behind the photos.
