Today I get to share an idea on the Fancy Pants blog using the St. Nick line cards paper on the Fancy Pants blog.
Hope you will stop by and check it out!

Where is a Pencil?
Now that school has been in session for over a month, my kids have somehow misplaced many of the new pencils we bought for them to use while doing homework. Pencils are kind of like socks around here. They like to disappear.
When I found out about the Fancy Pants Challenge this month to create something school themed, I knew that I wanted to create something that will hopefully help us will the missing pencil problem.
I altered a metal can with a bunch of Fancy Pants Off to School goods and created (what I hope) will be a happy place for many pencils for months to come.
There is still time to enter the Fancy Pants School Challenge and you can find all of the info here.
If you want to see other school themed project ideas, you can check out this post.
Now if I could just come up with a solution for keeping track of matching pairs of socks...

Fancy Friday Challenge: School Projects
Fancy Pants is starting up a new monthly blog challenge and this month the theme is "Back to School."
You can find all of the details on the Fancy Pants Blog today.
I decided to play along with the challenge and create some little notes that can be put into my kids' lunch boxes.
This was a perfect project for using up some scraps from the Off to School line.
Hopefully my kids will enjoy discovering a little note from me hidden in their lunch boxes!

Playing with Fancy Pants Banners
Today on the Fancy Pants blog a few of us are sharing ways to use the Off to School Chipboard Banner Stickers.
If you have a minute, I hope you have time to stop by and see what everyone has created. Here's a little peek at my page:
Since it's been a month since my last couple of Fancy Pants blog projects were shown on their blog, I can share them with you now here.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Getting Ready for the Weekend
When the Summer's End collection from Fancy Pants arrived, I instantly thought I these photos I took of my daughter last fall while we were in Boston. The trees in October were gorgeous, vibrant colors of red, yellow and orange. Since we don't get to experience changing leaves here in Phoenix, it was a pretty exciting thing to see the bold colors.
One of my favorite Fancy Pants products are the paper filter embellishments. They are similar to tissue paper and come cut in circles with fun edging with prints on them. On this layout a couple of the are layered together and cut in half so they could be used above and below the photos.
On another note, for a while I was posting Friday Finds every week to share cool things I found around the web and help me keep track of things. But now I'm using Pintrest to organize all of these ideas. Are you on Pintrest? Leave your username in the comments so I can follow you!
Thanks to a find on Pintrest, I'm making this Grilled Chicken Bruschetta tonight. I'm excited to give a new recipe a try.
Thanks for the feedback on the vintage coffee table post. I'm going out on a hunt for one next week so that I can finish up our bedroom makeover. Thought I would share a look at our new headboard and pillows.
The headboard is made from printed burlap attached to the wall and then framed. We kept the white bedspread we already had, but jazzed it up with a bunch of new pillows. I'll share more photos once we're finished with the room.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Off to Chicago
I've already posted about our Chicago trip here and here and here, but today I just wanted to share a page with some of my favorite photos from our trip on this layout.
This is the sheet of paper that was used for the base of the page. It's the Fancy Pants School Year from the Off to School line. It had the perfect grid design already to go for my page.
The top left corner was left uncovered since I wanted to leave the date we traveled to Chicago exposed.
The photos fit perfecting between the dotted lines. Each square was cropped to 2.75". Everything on this page is from the Off to School line. I love the red/teal/yellow color combination on this line.
Enjoy your day!

My Precious Girl
A couple weeks ago at a family party, Hannah decided to model a pair of sunglasses while I shot a few photos. I love how she likes to pose for the camera.
A few of the sunglasses photos just made their way onto a layout this week. What do you think? Does she like being in front of the camera?

I used the new Baby Mine line from Fancy Pants on this layout. Even though this line is a baby line, it also works well for other themes too with the pink, blue and green color combos.

King Triton's Carousel
While we were at California Adventure a couple of weeks ago, we rode King Triton's Carousel. I love carousels. There is just something magical about spinning with great mnusic play and kits laughing.
I rode next to Hannah and caught this photo of her while we were twirling around.

The chipboard banners from Fancy Pants are one of my favorite new products. Here I turned the banners on their sides to make little flags for the title.

Today was a busy day and I finished up all of the kits for Creative Estates. They are packed and ready to go! I did squeeze in a little time to make this layout, so it was a productive day. Now it's time to hang out with my husband. Maybe we will watch a movie? I'm really craving some ice cream, so we'll see if I can resist that. :)

Loving the Fancy Pants Element Stickers
This month my blog assignment for Fancy Pants was to create something using one of their element stickers sheets on a layout. Stickers have become one of my favorite embellishment lately because they are so easy to use and be layered for fun results.

I decided to use the It's the Little Things line and make a layout about my daughter and her friend.
Here's a peek at my layout. I ended up using 9 of the stickers for this layout. You can see the entire layout here.

What you do think about stickers? Tried of them or love them?

Splash!
Even though today was a rainy and gray day, I decided to create a sunny layout.

I used one of my favorite photos from my daughter's tenth birthday last summer with a few of the girls jumping into the pool.

Since I can't seem to get enough banners on my projects lately, I was excited to see a full chipboard set from Fancy Pants Beach Babe line with all different shape of banners.

Are you enjoying sunny weather where you are?

To the Moon!
I've been having a lot of fun with the Fancy Pants To the Moon collection. The bright colors are so happy and playful!
Fancy Pants and Tombow teamed up for a blog hop this week and I made a couple of projects for it.
The first is a layout where I used Tombow Foam Tabs to create a fun textured background on this page.

I didn't want to waste a second piece of the paper by punching it, so I figured out where I wanted my photos and then cut the yellow paper out where the photos would cover it.

So only one piece of yellow paper was used!
My second project was a birthday card where I folded the back of the card over the front and closed it with a Tombow Fastener Tab.

The adhesive is a very strong and then works like Velcro so that it can open and close over and over. I definitely want to think of more open and close projects so that I can use more of this!

Fancy Pants posted these projects on their blog today and you can stop by and take a look if you'd like.
Hope you are having a fantastic Wednesday!

Boston
***If you are looking for the Scrapbook Circle Kit Giveaway post, you can go here.***
Last fall we were able to take a trip to Boston to visit friends. We had such a great time! We loved walking on the Freedom Trail where we visited many historical sites plus and an amazing bakery (Mike's Pastry) was one of the stops.

I printed off a few of my favorite photos from the trip in my favorite 2 x 3 inch size. I love this size because I can easily fit more pictures on the page.

Everything on this layout is from the new Fancy Pants It's the Little Things line for this page. The colors in the line make me happy. Also loving those round filter papers that I misted to match the page.

Pocket Chick Pick #2 @ Fancy Pants
One of my favorite blog features on the Fancy Pants blog is the "Pocket Chick Pick." It is where the design team gets to choose a layout that has been shared on Facebook and use it as inspiration for a layout of our own.

Today, my Pocket Chick Pick is being featured on the Fancy Pants blog. I hope you'll stop by and check it out.

Which is Your Favorite?
Last Friday night, my son and I had a "Max and Mom" night out. He planned the entire night and we had a lot of fun together. We ate dinner at the mall food court (at Rubio's), looked around the Lego store, went out for yogurt and then came home and played videos games.
While we were at the mall, we also stopped in the Fossil store. Max decided to try on sunglasses and I started taking his picture. We had fun taking pictures with a bunch of different sunglasses.
The photos were from my phone, so they weren't the greatest clarity, but I was just happy to have a camera.
I printed off a few of my favorites and used them on a layout today.

We really had a fun night together and I hope to make it a tradition to do more one on one activities with each of my kids.

All of the layouts supplies are from the new "To the Moon" line from Fancy Pants. Don't you just love those bright colors?

Working on...
I've been busy working on a few projects, but I don't have them quite finished up yet. Thought I'd give you a look at what I've been up to.
First, I've been doing more creating with the Fancy Pants It's the Little Things line. I'm really loving the color combo in this line. I'm putting together a layout with a few favorite photos from our family trip to Boston last fall.

I'm also in the middle of a LOVE banner that I'm making just for fun. I saw pink and red doilies at Target a couple of days ago and knew I wanted to make a banner with them.

I used my Silhouette to cut the letters and heart from fuzzy white vinyl. The fuzzy vinyl is perfect for misting and I love making a mess with mist!
Have you seen these cute new badges from Fancy Pants?

If you love Fancy Pants like I do, you can add it to your blog.
Hope you have a fantastic day!

awesome
Happy Wednesday to you!
Just wanted to stop in and share a layout with you today. It's using the new "It's the Little Things" line from Fancy Pants plus one of their new filter papers.

I'm really excited to get to play more with the filter papers. They have the texture of a coffee filter and they are perfect for misting. They all come in white so that it's easy to customize. Very cool.
On this page I misted the filter paper and then accordion folded it and tucked it behind my photo.
You can check out more Fancy Pants elements ideas here.
What are you up to today? I'm home all day today and have a list of things to check off. Tonight we are going to the Suns game. Two of our kids are singing the National Anthem with the Chandler Children's Choir. So excited about it!

Butterfly Boots
Yesterday, my daughter wore her bright blue butterfly boots with her school uniform to school. The kids have to wear a red, white or blue polo with tan or denim shorts/pants. I must say that I love the uniforms because the kids always look put together. They are allowed to wear whatever closed-toe shoes they want to school, so Hannah likes to wear her boots.
After school yesterday, I had to get some photos of her in her boots. She was more than happy to have me take some pictures of her especially since it was for a scrapbook layout.

When I pulled out the bright yellow pokla dot paper from the upcoming Happy Days February Scrapbook Circle kit, I knew it was a perfect match for the bright blue boots.

On another note, did you see the peek of one of the new lines from Fancy Pants today?

I've already done two layouts with this line and can't wait to share them with you!

Happy Weekend!
Hello and I hope you are having a happy weekend!
I've been very busy creating lots of layouts this week for the upcoming CHA trade show. I can't wait to show you what I've been creating with! Hopefully I will be able to share soon.
There are a couple of things that I do want to share today.
The first is a layout using the Fancy Pants Hot Chocolate line about our visit to the Statue of Liberty last fall.

Even though this line is a winter themed line, I thought it worked out well for this layout because of the patriotic colors and the star designs.

Last night we got to celebrate our friends' one year old's birthday. It was so fun watching him dig into his cake while attempting to keep hims hands clean!
Here's a look at the birthday card I made for the party.

Have you seen this fun book, Tickle Monster?
This was a present we gave to the sweet one year old. It's a cute book that comes with Tickle gloves that can be used through out the story. Pretty fun!

Pocket Chick Pick @ Fancy Pants
Today I got to post my first Pocket Chick Pick over on the Fancy Pants blog.
What is a Pocket Chick Pick? I got to look through the Fancy Pants Facebook Gallery and choose a layout that inspired me to create a layout.
Here's a peek at my layout about some beyond delicious frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity 3 in NYC.

Used the new Fancy Pants Love Birds line for this layout. Those bright colors make me happy!
