Using a "Poor" Photo on a Layout

We visited Mesa Verde National Park this summer and I wanted to include this photo on a layout about our time spent there. The problem with the photo was that I didn't like all of the distracting feet in the background.

My solution was to cut the photo into vertical strips and the hide the feet under the patterned paper on the layout. I also trimmed the strips to make them more uniform.Problem solved!

Everything on this layout is from the October Afternoon Road Trip line, except for the brown scalloped cardstock from Bazzill.

  1. Fantastic idea and I love the layout! I didn't realize you had a different blog other than the SC one, so happy I found it! =) Also, I was you have a store in Arizona as well as the online kit one? I always wondered that!

  2. No store front, just the online kit club. That's plenty for me right now!
