Around Here >>> October 2014

Unpacking from my week away with Craftsy.

Trying to get back into the exercise habit (ran 1.5 miles + a one hour yoga class today.)

Thinking up ideas for my kids' Halloween costumes.

Wishing for some cooler fall weather.

Craving these pumpkin cookies.

Committing myself to healthy meal planning for November.

Organizing scrapbook layouts from the past four years and putting them into albums.

Reading a Nancy Drew book with Hannah for an upcoming book report.

Enjoying a quiet house while I regroup from my last big project (Craftsy) and focus on things that were pushed aside.

Planning new products for kits for Scrapbook Circle.

Celebrating my brother's birthday here on Saturday.

Hoping to have a night night with Ward soon.

Loving night walks around our neighborhood.

Attempting to take my to do list one task at a time.

Around Here: April 2014

Here's a little peek at a few of things things we are up to around her right now.

Trying to let these daffodils hang on for one more day. A sweet friend dropped them off for me last week.

Making lists and getting grocery shopping for the week done today.

Looking forward to breaking into my Freckled Fawn embellishment kit very soon.

Working on a layout inspired last week by National Siblings Days using the Portobello Road Kit.

Playing at the park with my youngest. Love that she still loves to run and play on the playground.

Restocking our fruit and veggie bowl.

Enjoying our newly rebuilt and freshly stained deck in our backyard.

Watching a lot of lacrosse games this month. Only two games left which is probably good since the weather is really heating up around here.

Waiting for our backyard projects to be finished. The original finish date was April 15, but now I'm just hoping it's finished by June 1.

Around Here /// October 2013

It's been quite a while since I've done an "around here" post and thought today would be a great day to do it. Here's a little peek at what is going on around here this morning.

Keeping up with the Wellness Challenge.  I've settled into a great routine and definitely have some healthier habits than I had before the challenge. Three and a half weeks left. The last 3 weeks will be the REAL challenge because in addition to everything on the list, we are going gluten, grain and dairy free. Wish me luck!

Eating my veggies. Thanks to the Wellness Challenge, I'm making a more conscientious effort to eat more veggies. This is now my snack instead of peanut butter pretzels.

Planning our meals. This seems to ebb and flow around her, but this week I'm organized and ready to feed our family.

Reviewing the final touches for the November Scrapbook Circle kit. I love sketching out ideas and working with our designer to turn ideas into printed projects.

Sketching future ideas for Scrapbook Circle products. Lots of ideas brewing right now.

Being thankful. (Stamp coming in the Nov. SC Kit!)

Creating a lot of Halloween projects. Can't wait to share more.

Getting cozy under blankets now that we have cool morning and evening weather.

Exercising daily. Again, this is thanks to the wellness challenge. I'm on week 8 of daily exercise for at least 30 minutes. Most days it's a 3 mile run at 6 a.m. Other days it's yoga or a relaxing walk around the neighborhood on Sundays.

Hope you enjoyed a little peek into what is going on around here this morning.

Around Here /// November 2012

Can you believe that November will be over next week?  Time is flying and I'm trying to enjoy every minute of it. Here's a look at what I've been up to this week.

Shopping for Thanksgiving. I must say that I love that we have a holiday that is all about sharing good food with family.

Setting things out so I can start my December Daily album. I plan on building the base of the album before December and then adding photos + words each day in December. Here's a look at my December Daily Albums from 2011 and 2010.

Planning Thanksgiving recipes. My husband's birthday is on Thanksgiving and let's just say turkey isn't his favorite food. We'll be having all of the usual Thanksgiving food, but I'll be making this roast, this cheesecake and this mac & cheese.

Going through paper samples sent to me for our January Scrapbook Circle kit. Just placed all of the orders and can't wait to share what's in store.

Excited about my new collection of Heidi Swapp Color Shine mists. Can't wait to make a mess with them.

Loving my new Toms. So comfortable and they go with everything!

Finishing up the final touches for the December Scrapbook Circle kit. Can't seem to get enough of these little striped envelope pockets.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Around Here /// October 2012

Around here today:

Cooking cornbread muffins to take to our church Trunk or Treat Halloween party tonight.

Enjoying cool weather in the mornings and evenings. It was even cool enough to wear boots out last night.

Happy that Ward and I tried out a new restaurant with friends last night. After dinner we enjoyed a couple great rounds of Euchre back at our house.

Watching our kids play soccer this morning was so fun. I love watching the kids happy and doing something they love.

Loving my new fall banner made by my friend Jennie that I bought at a boutique today. The coolest part is that it is reversible and says "give thanks" on the other side. I'll flip it around after Halloween.

Listening to my girls play together. Music to my ears. Audrey is such a kind big sister and is willing to sometimes play Barbies with Hannah. This makes Hannah so happy.

Relieved that we enjoyed two birthday parties, a trip to New York and our daughter's baptism this month. All wonderful events and I'm happy to have the good memories of the events and no worries about planning them anymore.

Relaxing at home with our family this afternoon. It's become a rare treat to get to enjoy an entire afternoon without commitments or places to be.

Thinking we should start putting costumes together to wear to the Halloween party tonight. This is the first year I haven't done anything ahead of time to get costumes ready. Hoping our costume box will have enough supplies.

Trying to work more exercise into my daily routine. Last week I ran three nights during soccer practices and walked around our neighborhood another night with a friend. I like using Runkeeper to track how far/fast I'm running and listen to Pandora to keep me somewhat entertained.
