I've been having a lot of fun with my three Stitch Fix deliveries. Stitch Fix sends 5 clothing/accessory items and then gives 3 days to decide what to keep and what to send back.
I think my favorite part about this service is the surprise and anticipation with each order.
This month's box was a bit hit and miss, but I'm fine with that. I'm giving very specific feedback each month after each box and I'm hoping that sometime I'll love all of the items in the box and keep them all (which gives a 25% discount of all of the items.)
Here's a look at what came this month.
1. White Lacey Shirt
I have a thing with tank tops. I don't wear them. I like to keep my shoulders covered, so when I first pulled this white sleeveless shirt out of the box, I almost dismissed it. But, I tried it on and layered it with a white tee and I loved it. Most of the front of the shirt is sheer lace. Pretty and different. I kept it.
2. Triangle Print Tank
Okay, I really wanted to like this when I first saw the pattern of the fabric in the box, but since it was a tank, I wasn't sure about it. I tried layering it with a tee, but just didn't like how it looks. So sadly, I sent it back.
3. Orange Print Dress
Well, I already explained that I don't go sleeveless, but I thought I might make this cool patterned dress work. I'd hoped it would work with a cardi over the top, but it just looked weird. Plus it had a boxy fit that wasn't quite right. It went back.
4 and 5. Cowl Neck Black Tee and Gold Necklace
At first look, I wasn't really excited about a black tee, but this really fit nicely and had an interesting neckline and a great length and I ended up keeping it. I've been on the lookout for a long gold necklace and when I saw this, I knew it would be a perfect addition to my accessory stash. It's a great length and will go with a lot fo tops. Kept it too.
So I ended up with a couple of new shirts plus a necklace and didn't even have to search online or go shopping. Got to love that.
Have you tried out Stitch Fix? Are you thinking about it?

Happy Father's Day (A Week Late)
We did celebrate Father's Day last Sunday, but I haven't had a chance to share a few photos and cards I put together until now.
I "tortured" the kids right after church by making the pose for a few pictures with Ward. They were actually good sports about it since they know that they can't get out of the obligatory Father's Day pictures.
We celebrated the day at my parents' house with my family and Ward's family too. We had a fantastic taco bar that was topped of with homemade Tres Leches Cake and Churros with Dulce de Leche. I think I'm still full from that meal!
Here's a look at a couple of cards I put together for our dads. I used envelopes from the Going Downtown Kit and spruced them up a bit.
It was another successful Father's Day and I'm so thankful that I got to celebrate with husband and dad.

Project Life: April 7
Yes, I'm still plugging away on my Project Life album. It continues to be equally as enjoyable and creating layouts. I just love having a place to collect bit of our family life.
We had a bunch of photos from the lake and I had combined a bunch of them for an Instagram photo. So I just printed out the Insta photo and had a photo collage ready for this spread.

We have been really enjoying our Saturday so far. Ward and I were up early and ran a bunch of errands. We then came home and spent a couple hours cleaning the house and getting things organized. We then did some damage at Target with a bunch of things we have been needing and now we are babysitting our one year old niece for the evening. Good times. Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

You Anchor Me
This week on the Glitz Designs blog we were challenged to incorporate some chalkboard elements into our layouts. This was a fun challenge!
I love the bright and cheerful colors in the Glitz Color Me Happy line, but sadly I have used up every last sheet of my 12 X 12 paper from this line. No problem though, because here I just pieced together what paper I had left along with some of the 8 X 8 paper for the background.
At first the background seemed a bit too busy, but after I layered it with neutral black and white chalkboard elements plus a B & W photo, it seemed to come together.
One of my favorite things to do on chalkboard elements is white with my white sharpie pen. Here I just did a little writing at the top of the page.
I'm loving this photo of my husband and me that I took earlier this month. We need to take more photos together. I just can't wait until me braces come off! Then I'm sure I'll be more excited for up close photos.

A New Tradition?
A few weeks ago Ward discovered an awesome little bakery via Instagram. Guess what? It's only 10 minutes from our house! It's actually in a little house near downtown Mesa. Ward put in an order for some chocolate filled croissants and went out early one Saturday morning to pick them up.
The croissants were still warm went he came home. Definitely fresh from the oven. The dozen croissants did not last long. We all had to show restraint not to eat them all at once.
I've been thinking about these delicious treats that we can call breakfast every since he picked them up. They are only baked on Saturday and our schedule hasn't lined up to pick some up since. But we are around this Saturday and yes, we have placed our order!
If you live near Mesa, AZ, I highly recommend ordering some of these for yourself from Proof. Just be sure to wait until I have me order in!

Three Generations
I was excited to break in the new Glitz Designs collection, Sunshine in My Soul, for the layout I want to share today. I'm just loving the yellow and grey color palette!
This week on the Glitz blog, we are sharing pages about the men in our lives.
We get together with family for most holidays and everyone is always pretty cooperative about taking photos on Mother's Day and Father's Day.
Thankfully, I had this great photo of Max, Ward and Ward's dad from Father's Day last year. We feel pretty lucky that we live near family and get to be together to celebrate most holidays.
I love using mist on my pages to add some pops of color. On this page I also used mist to draw my journaling lines. I just unscrewed the top of the mist bottle and dragged the end of the plastic dispenser tube along the paper. It was a quick and easy way to add a little journaling space.
One of my favorite things about the new Glitz collection is their new alpha/words sticker sheet.
It has such a cool variety of fonts + words. It made creating this title with mixed fonts really easy. Plus the little word stickers were perfect for adding some text along the side of my layout.
We are looking forward to celebrating another Father's Day together this Sunday. How is it already time for Father's Day? Seems like it was just Father's Day a few weeks ago. Time continues to speed by!

Photo Booth Fun
A couple of weeks ago we went to an open house for a friend's new business and they had a photo booth set up with some fun props. I quickly snapped a photo of our kids posing in the booth.
What is is about photo booths that is so fun?
Love these kids. Love this photo.

Playing with Glitz Peek a Boos
One of my favorite Glitz products is their Peek A Boo transparencies. They are so easy to layer and come in such fun designs. This week the Glitz DT was asked to create a layout featuring their Peek a Boos. Apparently, I really like these, because I only had 10 pieces left from all of their collections. On this layout, I used Peek a Boos in seven different places. Can you find all 7?
I love that they subtly add interest and dimension without overpowering the layout. Since they are see through, they are perfect for layering!

Summer Backyard Party
This month Scrapbook Circle has put together a fabulous party themed kit that includes a bunch of fun pieces that you can use to throw a party. The Let's Celebrate! Kit includes banners, patterned straws, tutu ribbon, decorative treat bags, pinwheel stickers, a 6 X 6 paper pad, paper tapes plus a fabulous printable.
I decided to put the kit to good use and throw a little backyard party tonight with some friends. We set up a table in our backyard and had fun putting everything together.
Here's a look at our backyard party table.
