Life continues to move at warp speed and I'm somewhat keeping up on my Project Life project. Here's a look at our first full week of June.
We were at the beach for a couple of days this week and I decided to fill the left side of the pages with beach photos. I used a few of the new Elle's Studio Summer tags on these pages and love the colors and styles!
This week Audrey went off to church girls camp for five days and Max spent three days at a cub scout day camp. They both had a really great time. Max said that he wished he could do to day camp every day of the summer.
We also filled the week with time at home, a birthday party and the boys going to a baseball game and the girls getting pedicures.
Another week has now been documented!

New Glitz Goods!
I just got a look at the new Glitz lines and I'm in love! Seriously. Love the colors and designs. Take a look:
They have a bunch of new products that I can't wait to get my hands on like crepe trim, paper garlands and tapes.
The new lines won't be shipping until September and October, so I will try to patiently wait for things to arrive.

Rocky Point + Fav Salad
Last weekend we ventured down to Rocky Point in Mexico with another family. It was our first time going to Rocky Point and we are wondering what has taken us so long to get to a beach less that four house from our house. We were a little apprehensive because of travel warnings for Americans in Mexico, but we felt safe and didn't go looking for trouble.
Here's a little look at our time away.
The beaches were amazing because it was actually warm weather plus warm water. After mainly visiting cold California beaches, the warm air and warm were a welcome change. (I don't like to be cold!)
We spent two full days enjoying the beach and the pool at our condo. We hope to be able to go back again! The only downside of the trip was that I was terribly sick with stomach issues for two days after returning home. Not sure what I ate, but I'll be even more careful next time.
Today I also wanted to share my favorite make at home salad. I've made it a few times this summer and haven't become tired of it yet.
Summer Salad
(The amounts vary depending on how large of a salad you want to make)
Spinach
Grape Tomotoes (halved)
Red Bell Pepper, diced
Yellow Bell Pepper, diced
Fresh Green Beans
Feta
Corn (fresh of the cob is best or you can use canned)
Optional: candied almonds or avocado
Saute the bell peppers and green beans in a little olive oil until soft. (I LOVE this Mexican lime infuse olive oil.)
Toss all of the ingredients in a bowl and serve. I don't use any dressing because the flavors from the sauteed vegetables are enough for me. If you'd like, you could serve it with your favorite balsamic vinaigrette.

Scrapbook Circle Design Team Call
Just wanted to put out a reminder that submissions for the Scrapbook Circle Design Team Call are due today. I've really been enjoying looking though all of the submissions. Wow, there are so many talented scrapbookers! This is not going to be an easy decision.
All of the details of the DT call can be found here.
Just for fun, I thought I'd share a couple of peeks of the upcoming July kit.
Very excited for the full kit reveal on the 25th!
Hope you have a great weekend.

Summer Fun
For some reason, I thought that I'd have more time for crafting and creating once summer was here. Wrong. With the kids around full time (which is usually a good thing - except when they are fighting) it's been a challenge to get much creative work done. But we have been busy. Thought I'd give you a little look into what we've been up to this week.
Sunday was Father's Day and we are lucky enough to live near both my dad and Ward's dad. My parents hosted the family at their house. Dessert was a highlight with homemade vanilla ice cream and this peach cobbler.
The kids and I made candy grams for the grandpas. I used to make these a lot when I was a teenager, but really haven't thought about them for a long time. Last week on Pinterest I saw a Father's day candy gram and was grateful for the gift inspiration.
I was excited to capture this great photo of my husband and kids right after church. It's one of my favorites!
One of our Father's Day traditions is to get photos of the dads with their kids & grandkids. Even though some weren't too excited to take pictures, I'm happy everyone participated.
We've been doing a lot of swimming in our pool. With temperatures hovering right around 110 degrees everyday this week, it's pretty much the only outdoor activity we can even consider. We usually do a morning or evening swim and try to stay out of the extreme sun.
Ward's mom joined us at our house to celebrate her birthday. We made one of our favorite meals: chicken tacos. I love that I can pile the taco with avocados, beans, corn and salsa. We make them pretty much every week. Bonus about taco night: everyone in our family likes it!
Jennie, Diana and Rebecca helped me pack up all of the July Scrapbook Circle kits.
We all had our kids at the kit packing and once we were finished Diana had some fun amazing the kids with a magic trick.
I spent some time at the dentist today because my one and only crown fell off of my tooth over the weekend. Bad news: the tooth it too badly fractured to put on a new crown and I'm going to have to have it taken out and have an implant put in. Not looking forward to that. Oh well, I'm just thankful that it can be fixed.
Hope you have a great Thursday!

Project Life May 27 - June 2
I have another set of Project Life pages to share today. This documents a busy week around our house and I'm happy to have many of our adventures and activities documented here.
This week included Memorial Day, the last two days of school and a trip to San Diego. Lots of good times and memories.
This week used up the last bits of my Field Notes kit. I really loved the printable for this kit and used several pieces on these pages.
This project continues to be one of my favorite ways to record memories because it's a perfect place to include brochures and other papers that might normally be thrown away. I think these bits are a perfect piece of our lives to help tell our everyday story.
Just looking at these photos makes we want to make a quick return trip to the cool beach weather in San Diego.
Thanks for the visit today! Hope you have a fabulous day.

Since we spent the weekend at the beach, I had a lot of photos that I wanted to include on this spread. I figured the best way to include the photos was to print them out at 2 X 2 inches and put them in an insert page.

Pedicures
We gave my daughter, Audrey, a pedicure for her birthday. We decided last weekend while the boys were at a baseball game that it was the perfect time for a pedicure. Hannah and I joined in on the fun too!
It was Hannah's first ever pedicure and she, of course, loved it. We might have to make this an annual birthday tradition.
We all got glitter polish and love the sparkle. Can't wait to do it again!

Hello! I have another week of Project Life pages. Sometimes this project seems a bit tedious, but I've been loving the finished pages each week, so I'm committed to finished out the year.
Now that my pages are caught up, I think that it will be something fun again and not just something to cross off my to-do list.
