The Evolution of a Layout

A couple of weeks ago I shared the details of my first Stitch Fix on this post. Seriously, it was so fun to get a surprise box of clothes to try on. Even though I only kept a couple of items, I loved the experience of getting really cute clothes in my size and delivered to my door. Of course I snapped a few photos of things and decided to make a layout about it.

I feel like I really did a terrible job capturing good pictures of things, but when they are printed small, it still works for recording the memory. Next time, I'll aim for better lighting!

All of the layout supplies are from the May Scrapbook Circle My Favorite Kit and add-on. I loved using those Lily Bee label stickers for the journaling.

A funny thing about this layout is that it started out looking totally different. I'd printing the pictures and started arranging some of the kit pieces of my desk for this layout. It wasn't feeling right. Here's a look at where this page started:

Sometimes I start and page and it just doesn't feel that it's working. This time I pulled everything off of the page and tried a new background paper and a new arrangement of the page elements. I ended up still using the Lily Bee Labels, little corrugated person and the flair. I also used a fabric frame, but it was one with a different print.

I always think the evolution and creation of a page is one of the best things about scrapbooking. Love that creative process!
