My First Sketchy Thursdays Layout

When I saw the sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays this weekend I knew that I wanted to use it to create a layout.

Here's the cool layout that Diana put together:
Here's my take on the sketch:

*Removed for Publication*

I'll bring the layout back once the idea book is out!

The patterned paper, pops flowers stickers, Elle's Studio labels, flower bling and alpha are all from the Scrapbook Circle January kit.

The semi-circle is the reverse side of the border of the Pink Paislee Reindeer Games paper. It was red on the reverse side, but the blank white side on the reverse made a fun addition to the page.

I also dusted off an old Heidi Swapp flower mask to help create the background along with a little misting.

I really don't ever use sketches when I'm creating layouts, but I really like how this turned out!

  1. What a lovely page!!! Great job on the sketch!

  2. I love this!!! I am really big into misting now, so I am completely in love with how well yours turned out. And I love the colors you used. So glad you played along (and I did get your email!).

  3. This is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! I love the mask--I'm gonna have to make some! :)

  4. oh, this is really pretty. i like how you masked the misting. i'd like to try to use mists one of these days!!
